To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The deck is meant to curve out to an Obzedat, preferably with whip on the field. Soldier is an all around good card as a 2/1 for one and the added prot multicolored. Pain Seer is in for card draw, and the life gained by the whip generally balances out the life lost on the extra draw. Master does have the drawback of giving your opponent an extra card on your turn, but the 5/5 for 3 can end the game quickly enough that the card advantage doesn't hurt too bad (if you don't like this, replace it with Herald of Torment. The bestow on an obzedat is a neat trick that can outright end games). Desecration Demon is Desecration Demon.
Other than that, you got the whip for lifegain and infinite obzedat, thoughtseize because it's too good not to have, and a removal package similar to monoblack. Elspeth is an extra win condition. Athreos is creature insurance, though he can be brought online easily enough. Make your creatures count, remove threats quickly, and sustain while Obzedat does what it does.
The sideboard consists of match dependent removal (Dark Betrayal and Doom Blade), thoughtseize redundancy and blood baron for control/ mirror matches, revokes for gods and d spheres, and then Erebos for the mirror as well (though play carefully with him on the field. Whip doesn't give you lifegain either in this case).
