Mono blue kraken tribal (Modern) [Revisione 19]

(This is my reasoning around this deck. Keep in mind I have yet to actually play it. It is intended to be played as a Duel with the Pirate deck in the same folder)

This is a slowish, ramping deck. General strategy is to defend yourself as soon as possible as long as possible, then scry for lands and bring out the big guns.

Opening hand:
You need a Kraken Hatchling. Mulligan up to two times until you get one. You'll be dead in the water without it. Unless you feel lucky, there's lots of scry in this deck.
Ominous Seas is really good to get down in the first couple turns too.
Annul isn't bad, if it's all you've got, you can slow your opponent down a little.
In terms of lands in your opening hand, more basic lands are better.

Land strategy:
Basic Islands and Halimar Depths are ones you want earlier than later. Put down Mystic Sanctuary or Soaring Cliff if you have to, but wait a turn if you can.

Creature strategy:
Your creatures are few and precious. Protect them with Artful Dodge, Protective Bubble, or Eel Umbra.
Two Kraken Hatchlings on the battlefield should be enough for you to start with and you can draw/discard the others until you concentrate on your Ominous Seas. But if you can do with only one, that's great, don't over commit.
Alluring Siren is for destroying or at least trading with precious creatures your opponent doesn't want to attack with. Focus on creatures with largest potential, ones that give multiple creatures buffs or allows your opponent cheaper spells or more mana.
Octoprophet and Sigiled Starfish is for digging for a Kraken Hatchling, Ominous Seas, Lands, or if you have enough lands any of the Kraken
In general take pot shots at your opponent if you can get away with it with or without Artful Dodge . But try to save Protective bubble for one of your Krakens.

Spell strategy:
Do not discard Divination, you want that for pure draw or for Ominous Seas .
If you already have Ominous Seas out get Hard Cover on a creature, even if it already has a tap effect. Draw those cards and put down those tokens.
Counter spells and bind creatures when you can, but it's less important than getting out a Kraken.
If you haven't got Ominous Seas by turn five don't bother, and just cycle it for something else.

Win strategy:
Protective Bubble or Eel Umbra on a Kraken and go for face.
