This deck is built around the cool mechanics of Kulrath Knight!
-1/-1 and +1+1 counters on creatures your opponents control mean they can't attack or block while Kulrath Knight is on the board. It's a natural counter to +1+1 counter decks!
The deck has a ton of ways to put -1-1 counters on creatures, but the best part is you might not have to, make it clear that as long as those creatures don't attack you, there's no reason to put counters on them.
Some notable ways to put counters on enemy creatures are: pinging with a wither creature by using Viridian Longbow / Power of Fire / Arcane Teachings and Serrated Arrows.
However Kulrath only incapacitates creatures while it's on the board so to keep it on the board we run a lot of protection, in particular Whispersilk Cloak but also regenerates like Soul Channeling.
Since we're doing that, we're also going for the voltron game-plan with cards like Endless Scream, Fiery Mantle and Shade's Form. Kulrath will almost always connect since we pick what creatures can't block.
To help the game-plan along we run a lot of ramp (due to the mana-sink auras), a lot of draw and some diverse removal. There's also Fireball and Rolling Thunder we can sink a lot of mana into.
The deck's greatest weakness is how it completely revolves around our commander, if removed we're suddenly completely open to attacks. Decks that go very wide can also pose a problem as most of our -1-1 spells target one creature, occasionally two.
