To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
A pretty basic Angel deck that, if you play your cards right, can have some pretty burdensome effects for your enemies. It's expensive mana-wise and can be slow to start so keeping an eye on your health while taking a few small hits won't scuff your strategies in the mid-to-late game. Get Avacyn out ASAP, she's your key to most of the locks in this deck and can give you a huge edge later on. Pairing Burnished Hart with Emeria Shepherd can boost your mana quite a bit, provided you have the mana to sack Hart.
This deck is MEAN and has the ability to stomp some games, but it's susceptible to a few noteworthy detriments. They're as follows:
As I've mentioned before, this is an expensive mana deck. So if you're fighting someone that can deal a lot of damage in the early game they can hurt you significantly before you get any noteworthy creatures on the board
Board wipes are your enemy. Simple right? Like duh. However, in this deck, If you lose a few key cards this deck can crumble from underneath you fairly quickly. Your goal is to make a few REALLY strong angels, not a lot of small Off-to-the-side angels.
I've been decked out before, while using this. Players that continuously mill you are one of your biggest enemies.
Don't get caught up in how strong your angels are because they can be taken away from you in an instant and you'll be left VERY vulnerable. Especially if they're stolen and put on your opponents board (Will!)
Now that the detriments are out of the way, let's talk positives:
Because of Avacyn, you stand as a vanguard against Token spam decks, being able to put a few tokens out yourself with invincibility can help massively in culling that hoard of goblins coming your way
Passively growing an army is easy, provided you know what to do and when
Provided you get lucky, you can disable someone's deck pretty easily
There. A crash course in Gilded Wings. Quite possibly one of my most fun decks, so have at it and remember: GLHV
