Hi everyone, this is my take on Ghalta, Primal Hunger in the Commander format.
This is not a competitive build, but can it be scary anyways, as long as you focus the right opponent at the right time.
Of course, you can adjust the power level based on your playgroup, but don't hope that this could stand a chance against serious builds.
We're just having fun, just play with what you have (which is kind of the point of the format).
Whoever says that being oneshot by a thicc resilient boi is not fun, is simply wrong.
STRATEGY
The deck is pretty much commander-based. Our goal is having Ghalta out as much as possible, protecting it and gathering total power on the battlefield to make this possible. Fun fact: its effect also counts in reducing commander taxes :D
Most of the times, you will pay GG for a 12 trampling body that can kill you in 2 swings. That's pretty good value.
We can exploit its chunky power to get rid of someone on the spot:
Of course we want to grant Ghalta with haste, protection and evasion, so we are running
Another way we can exploit its power is by using some draw spells like Greater Good, Hunter's Insight, Momentous Fall, Rishkar's Expertise and Life's Legacy: they just become ridicolous if used on Ghalta.
Some other cards may need explanation:
Make sure to run enough interaction to deal with the rest of the table, otherwise you will end up playing a garden simulator
