Better Slivers (EDH / Commander)

LANDS:
Use basic lands if and when need be; usually you'd only use these lands if you don't have a certain mana colour from any of the dual lands/utility lands, or if you're sacrificing an Evolving Wilds or Traveler's Amulet.

NON-BASIC LANDS:
Use the non-basic lands to quickly build up a strong mana base that can adapt to the types of Slivers being played on the battlefield; the utility lands serve a similar function, but with the added bonus of their various abilities. The Sliver Hive is a very important card, as it allows the creation of {1} colourless mana, one of any colour mana as long as it's used for a Sliver spell, or it can create a 1/1 Sliver token for {5}. If you're ever low on cards and have some mana floating, you can create a Sliver token with that floating mana and cast Village Rites in order to have a net-positive gain of two cards, without worrying about sacrificing a Sliver that's providing any abilities to your army.

LOCKETS AND LAND SEARCHING:
Use Rakdos Locket, Orzhov Cluestone, and Traveler's Amulet as ways to create extra white, black, or red mana, and the Traveler's Amulet to search for any basic land colour you may be missing from your mana pool.

SLIVER BUFFS:
Use Warhorn Blast, Overwhelm, Trumpet Blast, Obelisk of Urd, Defend the Campus, Sanctified Charge, Bow of Nylea, and Glass of the Guildpact to buff up your Sliver creatures and tokens, taking even the smallest of Slivers and making them a big threat that your opponents can't ignore.

COUNTERS AND DEBUFFS:
Use Culling Ritual, Statue of Denial, Annul, Countermand, Disdainful Stroke, Pillar of Light, Saw it Coming, Negate, and Naturalize to counter or destroy your opponents side(s) of the board. Culling Ritual can be used in a pinch to create black and green mana quickly, but only if the opposing boardstate(s) have lots of nonland permanents with a mana value of two or less.

CARD DRAW AND GRAVEYARD RETURN:
Use Ecological Appreciation, Village Rites, Golden Ratio, Solve the Equation, Return to the Ranks, Chord of Calling, and Arcane Spyglass to draw cards, or to return target cards from your graveyard.

CIRCUMSTANTIAL CARDS:
Use Primal Command or Dramatic Reversal if and when they are needed.
