Rakdos Oven and Anvil (Pioneer)

Typical Rakdos Sacrifice deck.
Build for MTG Arena Explorer format.

This deck is still far from finished and I'm currently playtesting it in MTGA. I try to update this deck as I play more whit it and when new expansions come.

Gameplan is to get sacrifice triggers from Mayhem Devil and Oni-Cult Anvil.
Get cheap creatures and sacrifice engines asap on the battlefield. Cauldron Familiar, Virus Beetle, Circuit Mender, Voldaren Epicure, Blood- and Food Tokens are good sacrifice feed for your engines.
With Claim the Firstborn you can also use opponent's creatures.

Ob Nixilis the Adversary should be used only when you can pay it's Casualty cost.

And yes, the Meathook Massacres are expensive in paper MTG. I think they are a worthy investment for this deck. For example I have wiped several annoying board states whit that enchantment. It also has great synergy when you sacrifice your creatures.

General thoughts about the card decisions:
Virus Beetle: Thoughtseize could be more optimal choice. I choose to stay with Virus Beetle since it can be fed for sacrifice later.
