Win Condition:I have been playing a few different versions of this deck recently, one with Ashiok as the Win Condition, one with prog. shpinx and one with Pearl Lake Ancient. I think out of the three I like Pearl lake ancient best.
Side Board:
Clever impersonator is great against Abzan midrange (sure i'll take your Elspeth) and Jorubai is a consistant lifegain against mono-red or other aggro (really popular where I do FNM) Perilous Vault, because Nykthos is a thing, and Pharika's Cure for more anti-aggro.
Why X Card?
I love card advantage, so Jace's Ingenuity is great for that (and sticks with the instant speed of the majority of the deck!) Jace is more card advantage, and a land filter during the late game, with his ultimate being a new hand for you and top decking for your opponent. Liliana finds Pearl Lake Ancient if needed or whittles their hand, making them top decking more likely.
