The main strategy of this deck is to create a board presence early to stall the game long enough to generate a large amount of treasures. While generating treasures I want to be discarding or milling my large threats so that they will be in the graveyard for Orcus to reanimate them. To do that I've included cards that discard to draw more and/or create treasures, as there are a large number of options for this. There are also a few other reanimate effects in the deck to use before the big swing comes out. That is pretty much the entire strategy. The rest of the cards in the deck are answers for threats that I commonly run into. I am certain I'm missing many staples for black, red, and for commander in general. I do not play in a public setting and my play group is very limited so this is not a problem for me, since we only use cards we've opened from packs ourselves (excluding basic lands).
I would like to improve the early game of this deck most of all. I'm not usually comfortable with the board state before clearing it since the decks I'm playing against are getting mana and creatures out much sooner. I have found that any opening hand with less than 3 mana sources is subject to getting mana screwed because a lot of my draw and treasure creating effects are coming in around 3 mana. I feel there are creatures I could put in that would likely solve both problems, but I either do not own them or don't know what they are.
