The plan to build this deck came to my mind when I first played the LotR Elves Deck. To me it was fun idea to base the deck on the voting system but it lacked impact to decide the game. When I saw the "I am the Senate"-EDH Deck made by Agoostus I decided to go for a kingdom themed deck that combines the voting and monarch mechanics in a fun to play deck.
The base idea is to rule the realm (and table) by controlling the senate and the courts while beeing protected from harm in your throne room.
There are many cards to ramp your mana in the early game so you can go for the real stuff. So this deck mainly works by having differnet courts in play while beeing the monarch and using votings in a way every dictator would be pleased.
Votes may grant you various benefits by weakening your enemies like https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Capital%20Punishment&set=CN2&_gl=1*esijsc*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA or boosting your own side as https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Lieutenants%20of%20the%20Guard&set=MB1&_gl=1*7gymov*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA does.
Of course those votes won't turn out the way you wanted to all the time, but to improve your luck there are possible ways to get additional votes like https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Ballot%20Broker&set=CN2&_gl=1*ebyek6*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA or even https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Illusion%20of%20Choice&set=CN2&_gl=1*ebyek6*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA.
Most courts don't need a specific timing to work as they are permanent enchantments with multiple ways to support you in early and late game. They will provide good effects in any situation, but will maximize their effects when you're the monarch in your upkeep phase. Since every court makes you the monarch when played. So just get your courts into play and focus on your defense.
You have plenty of tools to protect your life, while preparing the setting for your win-conditions. First of all there are many creatures or enchantments which will make your enemies pay for every single creature attacking you like https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Baird%2C%20Steward%20of%20Argive&set=CMM&_gl=1*5w57yc*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTU3OTM2NC43MS4xLjE3MDU1NzkzNzIuMC4wLjA and https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Propaganda&set=CLB&_gl=1*1jxj85b*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTU3OTM2NC43MS4xLjE3MDU1NzkzNzIuMC4wLjA or https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Dissipation%20Field&set=CLB&_gl=1*1pw67uu*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTU3OTM2NC43MS4xLjE3MDU1NzkzNzIuMC4wLjA to send units back to their owner's hand.
To save your permanents on the board from beeing destroyed you have several counterspells or https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Glorious%20Protector&set=CLB&_gl=1*7eqmrq*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTU3OTM2NC43MS4xLjE3MDU1NzkzNzIuMC4wLjA to avoid board wipes.

To make sure you're mana base is always set up for his final ability https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Wilderness%20Reclamation&set=C20&_gl=1*9dkph6*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTU3OTM2NC43MS4xLjE3MDU1NzkzNzIuMC4wLjA will ensure that you can spend your mana in your turn without having to worry about your defense in your opponent's turns.
Don't forget to spend your mana in your last enemies end step to boost your board with https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Kenrith%2C%20the%20Returned%20King&set=MUL&_gl=1*1f3nh91*_ga*NTgxODI5NTQzLjE3MTA3NTAxMzc.*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcxMTEwNjYyNS4xNS4xLjE3MTExMDY3ODMuMC4wLjA 's abilities right before untapping them again in your turn.
While there are many possible ways to build your defense, the ways to attack are much fewer. In the first place you are depending on the courts to drain your opponents one round after another while building up your army. This can be done by https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Court%20of%20Embereth&set=WOC&_gl=1*u7mfgw*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA, https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Court%20of%20Grace&set=ONC&_gl=1*u7mfgw*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA and most of all https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Court%20of%20Locthwain&set=WOC&_gl=1*u7mfgw*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA, which allows you to use strong cards of your opponents.
In the same time https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Court%20of%20Ambition&set=CMR&_gl=1*17r5tta*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA and https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Court%20of%20Cunning&set=CMR&_gl=1*17r5tta*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1NTA1NS43NC4xLjE3MDU2NTUxMTAuMC4wLjA slowly decide the game for you.
When all of your opponents get stronger when you've set up everything just call down https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Jokulhaups&set=6ED&_gl=1*169yvh9*_ga*MTg2MjAyODA3Mi4xNzAxOTUxNjA0*_ga_5B17M3SGT9*MTcwNTY1ODEyMS43NS4xLjE3MDU2NTgxOTguMC4wLjA and see all of them start from the beginning, while all of your courts and protection charms still stay in play.
Then just lean back and wait until your enemies have no other choice than bend the knee to the one true king.
