The Swarm (EDH / Commander)

Origins of my first EDH deck originated after playing some digital games of Magic the Gathering. Usually I'm a physical card person, so this was new to me.

After grabbing a lot of drops through random pulls I was stuck with tons of Golgari cards. Which isn't usually a preference, however was interesting enough to spark curiosity for deck building.

Ended up experimenting with Scute Swarm and Sporeweb Weaver. The combo potential they both had was insane. Move forward to Modern Horizons 2, the card whom would become my Commander spawned from this set. Then Adventures of the Forgotten Realms flaunting Lolth, Spider Queen. . oh boy! It all just came together.

So, my pretties are all about Tutoring powerful combos. Many of which can end the game if left unchecked. I can ramp up my mana to make big plays, plus triggering Recursion in tight spots.

Infinite life. Infinite loyalty counters for my Planeswalkers. More Tokens than my foes can deal with? All possible due to strong Tutor and Ramp spells.

The Swarm EDH is very prone to board-wipes, that's just how the game rolls. I expect and deserve it.

No deck is unbeatable, even still, very powerful and I hold The Swarm with deep fondness.

Probably my third favorite deck overall from any format.
