To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
...Golgargain, if you will. A Black-Green deck built around the new Bargain mechanic, using artifact tokens and Wellspring/Schematic effects to fuel a midrange strategy. Draw some cards, kill some stuff and ramp into efficient creatures - all for less than $20. Now there's a bargain!
Although keeping Noble's Purse in play long enough to deplete all of its coin counters is ideal, sequencing will sometimes require you to Bargain it while it still has a counter on it. Likewise, the Treasure tokens created by Purse and Prized Statue will ideally be used as ramp but they can also serve double duty as Bargain fodder. You may sometimes have to sacrifice one Treasure token to pay a spell's mana cost and then a second Treasure to pay its Bargain cost.
Fierce Witchstalker and Bake into a Pie were both included because they can follow up a turn-two Purse or Statue AND because they make another token we're happy to sacrifice - the ideal sequence for this deck is T2 Noble's Purse, T3 Fierce Witchstalker/Bake into a Pie, T4 Hamlet Glutton (or Agatha's Champion if there's a viable target for it after we Bake).
Feasting Troll King is a great top-end threat that can be cast on T4 if we play a T2 Noble's Purse, or if we play a T2 Prized Statue and then Bargain it T3 with Rowan's Grim Search. Search is also a great followup to Ichor Wellspring to fill up our hand.
My first draft for this deck had Abundant Growth and Nimblewright Schematic to enable Rampage of the Clans as a backup plan if the midrange thing didn't work out. While it wasn't as consistent as the present version, it was still an absolute blast when I was able to pull it off - feel free to try it for yourself!
