DECK STRATEGY

The strategy basically revolves around the lifelink mechanic of most of the creatures. So the point is gaining life by attacking with Vampire of the Dire Moon, Gifted Aetherborn and Vampire Cutthroat and by doing that gaining life a little bit at the time; at the same time the opponent loses life thanks to Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose; also each time a creature is destroyed (which is most likely to happen due to the low toughness of creatures) blood artist's ability activates. Dark ritual and Crypt Ghast serve as a mana ramp and the second one is also useful for its extort ability. Vampire Nocturnus is a power-up as all cards exept land are black and so it makes your vampire 80% of the time stronger and gives them flying which is a plus. Crossway Troublemakers is a powerful offensive card and also makes you draw; Kalastria Highborn is useful in combo with Blood Artist to deal a lot of burn damage and also Veinwitch Coven to get back your vampire after you use them to block.
