Daretti's throwing a Piñata Party! Time to destroy perfectly good artifacts for fun!
This deck separates itself into 3 categories: piñatas, party-goers, and party favors.
Piñatas are anything that wants to die and be turned into something else, this is a 100% recycled and recyclable party after all.
Party-goers are anyone/thing that wants to sacrifice artifacts. This creates a double effect when sacrificing piñatas that we will rely on for certain strategies.
Party favors are the things that help us get our expensive piñatas out for cheap, or lessen the hurt of sending one to the graveyard. There is a large focus on graveyard recursion in this deck, and a majority of it comes from this section. The party favors are nice to have and you wouldn't want to lose them, but they are there in case you really need ammo too.
Recursion piñatas like Workshop Assistant plus Scrap Trawler is the goal when using the recycling style abilities, where an artifact is sacrificed to return an artifact. Such as Daretti's -2 ability or Goblin Welder.
Choose Junk Diver as the target to sacrifice and Myr Retriever in your graveyard as the second target. Then the two swap places and because Junk Diver dies, it puts an artifact from your graveyard into your hand such as Enatu Golem if you need life. Then because Scrap Trawler sees Junk Diver die it returns an artifact with mana value less than Junk Diver's. Thus returning an Ichor Wellspring to help you draw and filter through the deck.
There is the unfortunate side effect that Myr Retriever is a 2 cost and Scrap Trawler only returns an artifact with lower mana cost. So I included some 1 costs like Panic Spellbomb and Wayfarer's Bauble to have targets for it.
Even without that little dance, the party goes on. Keep in mind that the more powerful creatures in this deck cost upwards of 10, so even after all that you wouldn't be able to play the card put back into your hand. Which is where the cards like Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded and Arms Race come in. They allow you to get those expensive artifacts out onto the battlefield ASAP. They even come with free piñata disposal!
After getting out 3 massive artifact creatures and swinging with them, the survivors can then be used by the party-goers as well. If you're gonna lose 'em, may as well use 'em! Slobad, Iron Goblin can give you a big 2nd main phase after the piñatas have done their combat by giving you mana equal to the mana cost of the artifact sacrificed. Bosh, Iron Golem can utilize them to finish off any blockers or deal massive direct damage with things like Scuttling Doom Engine.
Just remember to reset it for your next turn. Before you finish bring back out the recursion piñatas, make sure you have a 1 cost in the graveyard, protect your party-goers.
The biggest issue is having access to all of these options. So make sure to look for draw cards in your opening hand and filter through the deck quickly.
People will soon realize that the piñatas are not what they should focus on, but the party-goers themselves. So the deck has a collection of counterspells in it like Mages' Contest (surprisingly cheap for it's effect) or Chef's Kiss, but also cards like Feldon of the Third Path to bring back even your organic creatures for a turn. Pair that with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to copy that creature. Standard recursion can be helped by Flameshadow Conjuring in the same way. Also artifacts like Nim Deathmantle and Cauldron of Souls are there to prevent your party-goers from dieing fully, giving them further safety while they play pin the tail on the golem.
Artifacts like Cathodion and Su-Chi Cave Guard are excellent for starting off combos. Slobad, Iron Goblin targeting Su-Chi Cave Guard nets a total of 16 mana, that's 8 colorless from Su-Chi Cave Guard dieing and 8 red from Slobad, Iron Goblin. If you have the Thornbite Staff equipped to him he can still be used to produce more mana.
Recursion piñatas also don't have to dance like they did before. You can have them all out and use the mana produced by the previous paragraph to sacrifice a Scuttling Doom Engine 3-4 times using a Bosh, Iron Golem dealing upwards of 36 damage.
This is however, a work in progress and will be updated. This idea does however work, but I am working on improving it.
