Seems a downright shame
Shame?
Seems an awful waste
Such a nice plump frame
What's his name has, had, has?
Nor he can't be traced
Business needs a lift
Debts to be erased
Think of it as thrift, as a gift
If you get my drift
Seems an awful waste
I mean, with the price of meat, what it is
When you get it, if you get it
Ah!
Good, you got it

"NOOOOOOO!!! There will be no pies in my shop! But I will take that idea!" -Brenard, Ginger Sculptor (presumably after watching Sweeney Todd)

Did you know that inside of every creature (horrors and oozes excluded) there is a secret Golem hidden away? Sure some of the more fancy high-falutin' scientists will call it a skeleton, but I assure you those are golems! A rose by any other name would still make a gingerbread man!

Jokes aside, this is a golem tribal deck. The creatures may not realize they are golems yet, but they are. It was made for a secret Santa deck exchange and the price limit was low, so some of the more expensive cards have been cut-out.

8 splicers have been put in the deck and actually preform double duty here. Each one gains its own effect once they've died. These are essentially the tribal support part of the deck, since all those lovely tribal artifacts are expensive.

The deck specializes in tokens and token generation. With several ways to generate tokens based off current number of tokens. Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit and Welcome to Sweettooth care about how many food tokens you have. With food generators and Brenard's ability, you should have plenty of food tokens to fuel them. Cadira, Caller of the Small and Rhys the Redeemed care about tokens in general. Other things that trigger off the creation of those tokens such as Esix, Fractal Bloom and Rosie Cotton of South Lane amongst others will allow you to not only choose what tokens you're making but to get benefits from any new tokens being made. If Rosie is out then any new gingerbread people should be entering with a +1/+1 counter, bonus points for Cadira and Rhys making the tokens.

The ramp creatures such as Inga and Esika and the enchantment Cryptolith Rite are here to reward getting creatures out early and capitalize on the fact that they'll be staying around for a while. The draw in this deck is equally creature dependant. Tapping artifacts with Shimmer Dragon or sac'ing them with Clan Crafter to get draw or using Shamanic Revelation. The gingerbreads enter as 1/1's so you'll need to buff them with counters or Urza, Prince of Kroog or Filigree Vector to get them to the point of helping. Greater Good was taken out of the list because it didn't really help. These tokens should be around 4-6 in Power so it wouldn't help too much having to discard the 3 cards, and there is no recursion here other than Brenard.

Since Brenard is absolutely necessary to the functioning of this deck, we have several ways to protect him. There are 3 counterspells (so use them wisely), 3 bounce spells (with extra effects in case you don't need the bounce), and Saryth, the Viper's Fang and Archetype of Endurance to provide field-wide hexproof (again, budget deck gets budget solutions). Also 4 board wipes for when you lose Brenard and your tokens.

Removal leans heavily on artifact/enchantment destruction, but has Meteor Golem and Wicked Wolf for alternatives.

Some honorable mentions:

Maraleaf Rider - A sneaky way to get direct damage in. Sac enough food and you can force the opponent's entire army to block them, thus getting your big guys like Wicked Wolf and Rootwire Amalgam (the token it creates) through to deal direct damage.

Wicked Wolf - The only fight card in the deck, sorry. But at least it's pretty solid. If you have enough food tokens you can wipe out the biggest creature on the board and still have Wicked Wolf come back as a golem later for round 2.

Sam, Loyal Attendant - Keep some mana in reserve for other people's turns and when they target your golems with death, just pay 1 to sac them and heal.

Feasting Hobbit - Can easily wipe out an opponent by simply eating all of your food. If you've got a couple counterspells you can even eat the gingerbreads for one massive hobbit to swing next turn.

This deck appears to be legal in EDH / Commander.
