To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This deck is designed for Magic Arena.
This deck aims to protect one creature and load that up with enchantments to close out the game.
The best creature to do this with is Adanto Vanguard, since it dodged a lot of removal with its own ability. All other creatures, including the various tokens, are also valid options, but are more dangerous, since the lack built-in protection can mean a ton of card disadvantage. If this turns out necessary, try to keep a Siren Stormtimer and an untapped Island around. Later in the game, Slippery Scoundrel becomes a great target, assuming you can get the City's Blessing.
Some explanation on the cards in the deck:
Adanto Vanguard: Core of the deck, best target to enchant.
Siren Stormtamer: Helps protect your main creature from all sort of removal.
Legion's Landing: The token can function as an early play and with all the incidental creatures and evasion, you can flip it fairly reliable, helping you survive the long-game.
Curious Obsession: Great source of card advantage. Do be careful to not enchant a creature with summoning sickness when you have nothing else to attack with.
Squire's Devotion: Getting Lifelink on a large creature helps you against decks that try to outrace you.
The deck has fairly good match-ups again a lot of the common decks on Arena. The more difficult match-ups are mostly Merfolk, Black-Green Explore, (which will outrace and outvalue you) and the rare control deck that managed to snag up a Scarab God or a God-Pharoah's Gift. Without a sideboard, there's really nothing you can do about that without making your deck less effective against all the other decks.
The best part about this deck (for Arena anyway) is that you can easily assemble it over time, slotting in different spells while you try to get the actual cards you need. some suggested replacements:
Creatures: Sacred Cat, Skyblade of the Legion, Martyr of Dusk, Mist-Cloaked Herald, Slither Blade, Kitesail Corsair, River Sneak, Champion of Wits, Forerunner of the Legion also helps if you already have one or more Adanto Vanguards.
Enchantments: Baffling End, Ixalan's Binding, One with the Wind
Instant and Sorceries: Sheltering Light, Dive Down, Opt, Censor, Countervailing Winds, Supreme Will
When trading in wildcards, I suggest first trying to get the Adanto Vanguards and then go for the Cartouches. After that, it's personal preference and trying to get a feel for what you need. Definitely go for the lands last. You can get by with taplands or experiment with a Desert package.
Edited the deck: Swapped out the Cast Outs for Settle the Wreckages in order to improve the creature heavy match-ups.
