Super Mario Bros. meets MTG (EDH / Commander)

You've got a broad picture of what the deck is trying to do, but most readers by now are wondering how the deck actually plays. Let's jump right to it! Like many Commander decks, your early game will start with ramping and setting up engines. Mario may go on a Farseeking adventure or start his collectathon with Sol Ring or Arcane Signet treasures — at his best, using some flower power off Jeweled Lotus to hop into the game as soon as possible!

The midgame is where our Mario, Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder more traditionally enters play and starts making threats like Leonin Warleader (representing any character who has picked up the Super Bell cat powerup) into even bigger problems. Ramped out threats like Avenger of Zendikar or Tendershoot Dryad start helping the Mushroom Kingdom's boardstate grow wide.

In the endgame, Kamahl, Heart of Krosa as Luigi joins his brother and makes all those growing threats into Game Over screens for your opponents. If Luigi doesn't get there, Giga Bowser's Craterhoof Behemoth form might be able to do it. Perhaps a Star powered Starlight Spectacular board could get there, or Smithy as Purphoros, God of the Forge and a few well-placed Impact Tremors with all your tokens could throw around enough fireballs to finish things off.
