My all-time favorite deck from the best & active years of casual multiplayer magic (all against all), 25+ years ago...

  • Toolbox approach, get what you need, when you need it plus extra card draw included (Squee, Goblin Nabob) with the best magic card ever, ever printed: Survival of the Fittest
  • as you can see, fetchlands have been bad at that time, because you pay 1 life (=totally inacceptable) to use them :-D
  • ultimate combo is Lifeline plus a sacrifice card, saccing before end of each players turn your comes-into-play-trigger creatures... ideally combining it with Intruder Alarm (and Anger in your graveyard), thereby untapping also all your "power-tapper"-creatures, wreaking havoc on the battlefield
  • Epic nostalgia attached with that deck, from the golden times (where we all have been students), as I often had to play against multiple opponents, who formed coalitions against me, but staying alive (often on 1 lifepoint) due to Spike Weaver... which was the real lifeline for me as a player…
