The main goal of this deck is to try and hit the following combo:
Turn 1 hardened scales
Turn 2 dreadhorde arcanist
Turn 3 invigorating surge, swing with arcanist, then recast surge

Most people will not expect the 16 damage to the face by turn 3 so you will usually end up getting this combo off when you draw it. In my experience, the enemy usually scoops as soon as this happens, making for an easy win.

Some games are a bit tougher. For example when players ARE running things like removal or if I do not get the main combo, sometimes its better to rely on quirion beastcaller to soak up removals. From there, we can utilize our other creatures to do the same. Most of them have trample and haste so they have to be dealt with swiftly. I included faithless looting and fire prophecy to help reach the things we need, and they can be recast as well thanks to arcanist.
