I present this deck to you in its commander format so fun! Never forget that this format is intended for everyone to have fun. If this deck is a little too powerful for your friends, please remove the tutors. Note that for the competitive format, so in dual commander, this creature/enchantments/artifacts and spells base is good. There are just a few adjustments to make and a few thousand dollars, if you want to have the maximum power with the 10 bilands.
1) Description :
Slivers are a deck based on accumulation and synergy of forces. The goal is to establish a large presence on the field and to maximize the effectiveness of your creatures thanks to their collective abilities. If you like strategies based on accumulation and reinforcement, a Sliver deck is for you!
The commander is the sliver overlord!
For me the sliver overlord is slightly better than the first sliver, thanks to its tutor effect. You will better master your game and get the right answers, but you will slightly lose the explosiveness given by the first sliver.
Note that if you want a more explosive and chaotic sliver, I advise you to play the first sliver as a commander, for that I redirect you to my others decks.
2) Precision :
As you can see this deck contains an optimized but weak mana base, from a financial point of view. The goal is not to play a CEDH deck, but a powerful deck with many synergies and the ability to respond concretely to all threats.
I play this deck in commander at the store and between friends. Depending on the power of my opponents (if weaker), I remove some cards like my tutors by more fun cards like windfall. I remind you that the most important thing in commander is to have fun together.
I also play this deck in a second more violent and aggressive version in dual commander and only in this version (in a competition contest). I will send you this deck soon. Here, I only want tears and salt. Balance is good, but armageddon is better (with teferi's protection). Opponent ragequit assured.
3) Particularity :
This deck plays lands called: bounceland. These lands have the particularity of having 2 mana and in return of arriving tapped and bringing a land back into hand. These lands console me regarding the fact that few people play them and save me from having to buy the 10 bilands...
Why is this synergy interesting?
This mana base is optimized in order to reduce as much as possible the number of lands present on the battlefield. The objective being to surprise the opposing players around turn 5-8 is to play restore balance. Note that if you do dual commander (first of all welcome because I play it too) and please remove for example a vampiric tutor (illegal in dual commander) and instead add balance.
In addition, as you can see none of my slivers have a cost lower than two.
Why?
This allows you to rush on the first sliver and either cast it or tutor it with a tutor or the sliver overlord. Once in play the first adds the cascade effect. You just have to play slivers with a mana cost of 2, in order to 1) steal a card via inevitable betrayal or 2) restore balance. Note that this deck deserves an optimization for the draw. Mystic Remora should be replaced by Rhystic Study.
4) Combo:
With so much synergy, many combos are present.
I will focus on a few combos.
First the sliver queen (infinite combo from turn 5):
Combo (nuke effect - disadvantage: from turn 7):
5) Fast mana ?
As you can see, I'm not particularly for fast mana, but in return I play tutors. You have to adapt to your environment (store/friends) and I have never needed to optimize my deck in fast mana, except in dual commander.
So I'll let you find by yourselves the cards to add and offer you the best of the changes, namely removing the 10 bouncelands and replacing them with the 10 bilands (and you risk losing a kidney and a lung in this financial operation).
6) Optimisation (Soon to be tested):
Star of Extinction --> Blasphemous Act
Mystic remora --> Rhystic study
Ashnod's Altar
7) Good game, good fun!
