This is very similar to the a deck I first thought of when I started getting into magic. You can imagine how bad that would've been as I didn't know EDH existed at the time.
The concept is very similar to giants (the ramp cards are literally copied from giants), but is hopefully a little stronger. Giants could be good, but trying to force tribal when there are so few giant lords often left me with a bunch of mediocre cards that didn't support each other at all. Each creature in this deck is more powerful by itself, so everything should have a better impact when played. Not running red sweeps also let me use mana dorks, which will help the even higher average CMC.
