Hey all visitors.
I made this deck as a result of the power i saw in Tezzeret from first glimpse. He is simply unbelievable tough against any matchup.
So my plan became to create a deck with a perfect synergy that could challenge any possible matchup.
I have tested various versions of the deck for around 20 months and i am getting close to the final decklist.
In this description i will take you through the basic plays and combos.
Elixir of Immortality; is a powerful turn 1 drop in this deck. It increases your chances for early Metalcraft and Affinity. Further more it is a great weapon against Deathrite Shaman, Tarmogoyf or Reanimate decks. To control your own life balance is the most important factor in most matchups, but sacrifice it only if you have no other options, the 5 life can result in surviving extra turns to resolve Platinum Angel or the ultimate of Tezzeret.
Lightning Greaves; is a great alternative to Baleful Strix as a turn 2 drop. It amplifies you Metalcraft and Affinity while being a shield for your creatures.
Especially in the late game combining it with Platinum Angel it will make many opponents concede.
Baleful Strix; will usually only be used to defend Tezzeret from large creatures or to hit Planeswalkers. Furthermore it generates a oppotunity to draw extra cards during the early game or in late game by reincarnate it with help from Academy Ruins.
Crucible of Worlds; is a great weapon against any deck playing nonbasic lands.
If you do not have Master of Etherium in hand, Crucible of World can be as powerful, together with Mox Diamond it makes it possible to get mana advantage by letting you cast your lands discarded with Mox Diamond, specially your Wastelands over and over.
Master of Etherium; is such a big treat in this deck that it usually end up as the main focus of your opponent. In reality it is only a decoy to buy you time for the ultimate ability of Tezzeret.
Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas; is the key stone of the deck. Making it possible to fish through your deck for the Artifacts you need. You almost never need to use the -1 ability, but it can be necessary in some situations. Using it on your lands is most beneficent, since you can recast them again with Crucible of Worlds.
The ultimate ability is very powerful, and if Tezzeret enters the battlefield on turn 3 or 4, a win on turn 5 is possible.
I hope this short description was useful for the basic conception of the ideas of the deck. Please share any questions, comments or ideas.
