The clue for this one is in the name - make Centaurs and make them HUGE :)
This decks strategy is to first put out early cheap cards such as Voyaging Satyr for mana ramp and Centaur's Herald to provide cheap chump blocks if necessary but threaten a trade up into early 3/3 threats.
Once established use the mana ramp to bring in Heroic and Inspired enabled cards and keep triggering them as often as you can to bring in as many +1/+1 counters as possible. Use the Burst of Strength to trigger both heroic and the Inspired triggers for Pheres-Band Raiders and Pheres-Band Tromper and to enable cheeky buffed blockers after a mid-game strike. Use the Chronicler of Heroes once you have a buffed card to give yourself much needed card draw to try and keep one step ahead of your opponent and when trading creatures try and keep your tokens back to enable cheaper copies from the Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage to keep your board presence threatening.
If your creatures die or if you feel the burn from nasty red or black players use the Centaur healer (or even Call of the Conclave/Aerial predation) to recover life. Naturalize, Aerial predation and avenging arrow are all in place for targeted removal of problem flyers and artifacts (issues for this deck build).
This build is very much a budget build based around cards I own and has a few upgrades and changes I'm playing with at the moment, particularly around enchantment removal. Sideboard should include more artifact, enchantment and flyer removal plus some creature removal and extra punch through the likes of Prey Upon, Call of the Conclave and Overrun or Fated Intervention and (if you can afford it) some graveyard hate. Basically a utility sideboard - nothing too special.
As this deck relies on +1/+1 counters to get the best use out of the Chronicler of Heroes to generate some much needed tempo any upgrades to the deck need to bear in mind enabling counter production. Cards like Obelisk of Urd may do well in this deck as would anything enabling trample or flying for the big, buffed Centaurs.
This is only the first version of this deck. As I acquire more cards I'm sure it can be improved upon but as a casual based budget deck this works really well.
As always, open to comments on improvements.
