Fear the Dragon / URB Grixis Control (Modern)

My current version of Grixis control!

It is still my favorite playstyle and is flexible like a toolkit.

Concept:

1. Gain control by discard (thought erasure / kroxa, titan of death's hunger), creature hate (fatal push / drown in the loch / dreadbore / erebos's intervention) or by counterspells (drown in the loch / cryptic command)
2. Use planeswalkers (nicol bolas, dragon-god / sarkhan the masterless / Liliana, Dreadhorde General) as finishers.

Your options:
There are options like storm's wrath for mass removal (it also hits early planeswalkers like Teferi or Jace), as well as erebos's intervention against graveyard play. Take care to get rid of nasty enchantments by countering them or let them be discarded, otherwise they will make it hard for you.
Dragonlord kolaghan is a nice finisher (due to its haste and static ability) if nicol bolas, dragon-god can't do the job for you.

Mana:
The mana base should be broad enough to make everything run smooth here. Pay the 2 life only if neccessary as life can be a critical resource here.

Card advantage:
Use discard effects consequently. Thought Scour can be used to fill the opponents graveyard for drown in the loch or your own to escape Kroxa, titan of death's hunger fast. Nicol bolas, dragon-god also gives you card draw options. You should always be ahead regarding cards in hand - otherwise something goes wrong.

Important hints:
Counter enchantments or instants that aim for your powerful planeswalkers instead of countering creature spells. Most creatures can be removed later without problems.
Be careful where you spend life for shocklands. This needs the right timing.
Be also careful with the use of the loyality ability of sarkhan the masterless if you feel your opponent could kill creatures during your turn (if you don't have anymore counterspells in hand).

Sideboarding:
You can use Pharika's Libation instead of erebos's intervention if there is nothing to exile from graveyards but enchantments in your way.
Bedevil can be used instead of Dreadbore if there are too many planeswalkers or artifacts around and you need to remove at instant speed.
Finally you can try to use the elderspell for the ultimate nicol bolas, dragon-god ability. I am sure this is fun however not for your friends.
