To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Well my first thought for this deck was to build a deck that every permanent would have an effect as it entered the battlefield. So this is why i chose Obzedat, Thragtusk, Messenger and Elvish Visionary (but ill get to the point of picking her later...). Trostani was selected in order to balance my curve while giving you extreme synergies with Thragtusk (Thrag-Resto with Trostani out is just sick imo...). Next step was to find ways to blink your creatures in order to gain more out of them. Restoration is a perfect card for this strategy (sadly i only have 3 of them), but it is not enough. So i added Undying Evil which helps by both protecting your creatures from removal effects but also "blinks" them and giving them a counter(which you can get rid with Resto and give them Undying again!). For one mana it adds a nice flavor to just saving a creature! I also thought that with my curve ending at 5, i could easily play 24 lands, which brings us to a point where ramping would become the most significant factor, in order to play your heavy creatures earlier, and this is why i added full set of Avacyn's Pilgrim and Farseek. Here is when i thought that the deck would love some card draw and this why i added Visionary which can act both as an early blocker while it provides a card. Liliana and lingering souls will help against aggro while adding some removal spells as mutilate, murder and Abrupt decay is obligatory. While some might argue that 6 removal (including Liliana) spells might not be enough, 4 more are in the sideboard waiting for the right opponent to show up. Lastly my favorite! Three copies of blood artist in order to make your opponents think twice about their blocks and attacks, or forcing them to play a removal. Both options work fine for me!
I don't want to make this longer, so i am asking you for comments and synergies with Dragon's Maze.
Thanks for your time reading this!
