The goal of the deck is simple: get Liquimetal Coating and Isochron Scepter with an imprinted 2=>CMC instant "destroy artifact" on the board as quickly as possible. The deck have 10x "destory artifacts" in 2x Abrade, 4x Destructive Revelry and 4x Smash to Smithereens. Liquimetal Coating changes your opponent's biggest threats (creature, enchantment, land, etc.) into an artifact so it can be destroy by the imprinted scepter. Reuse this strategy till either your opponent runs out of threats or lands to play their spells.

Getting all these cards in play will always be a challenge. Having Liquimetal Coating on the board gives you the best shot at winning. If your opening hand does not include Liquimetal Coating and a couple of lands, try to mulligan till you get one. After the first mulligan, if you still do not have Liquimetal Coating in your hand, hopefully, your hand includes Fabricate to help you fetch it from your deck. Karn, the Great Creator can also fetch Liquimetal Torque from outside the game. This is because, without Liquimetal Coating/Liquimetal Torque, it is hard for the deck to do its job unless your opponent's deck is made up of all artifacts (ex. Affinity). When you are destroying artifacts with Destructive Revelry and Smash to Smithereens, you are also providing direct damage to your opponent.

Fabricate can search for the artifacts Isochron Scepter, Liquimetal Coating, Spellskite, and if you bring in Liquimetal Torque from the sideboard. Serum Visions help draw cards and set up cards in your turn. Since we are playing red, it never hurts to have Lightning Bolts.

For lands, the deck includes a few shock-lands (Stomping Ground, Steam Vents, Bleeding Pool), a couple of battle-lands (Cinder Glade), a couple of man-lands (Ragine Ravine), and some basic lands (Forest, Mountain, Island). Fetch-lands (Misty Rainforest, Scalding Tarn, Wooded Foothills) and Sylvan Scrying are here to get all the lands the deck needs. I include Academy Ruins in case if your opponent puts one of your key artifacts in the graveyard, you have a shot of getting it back.

The creatures in this deck are mostly for defense. Sylvan Caryatid can block attacking creatures and accelerate/fix mana. Spellskite is there to change direct removal spells that might target Liquimetal Coating and Isochron Scepter or storm decks. With the release of Shadow Over Innistrad, we get Thing in the Ice. With a bunch of instants and sorceries in the deck, removing the ice counter shouldn't be that difficult. Once, Awoken Horror comes into play, it clears the board by returning all non-horror creatures to your opponent's hand and now they have to deal with your 7/8 Horror creature.

The sideboard includes cards that deal with my meta group. Melira, Sylvok Outcast is here to stop Infect deck. Liquimetal Torque is here to give you another way to turn everything into an artifact. Beast Within deals with when the opponent locks me out with Chalice since the majority of my spells are 2cc. Leyline of Sanctity stops Burn decks. As for graveyard hate, the deck includes Scavenging Oozes which grows bigger as you exile their destroyed permanents in the graveyard. Round out with Firespout and Pyroclasm to help with clean the board if I am overwhelmed by token decks.

Please let me know what you think! :)

Update: Since Mycosynth Lattice is not legal anymore in Modern, I replace it with the legendary planeswalker: Karn, the Great Creator and Artifact: Liquimetal Torque. Karn can turn any non-creature into an artifact each turn and can help search for the combo pieces outside the game once the sideboard cards are switched into the main deck. I also took out 2x Scavernging Ooze and have 4 in the sideboard is not needed.

Delete - Mycosynth Lattice x1 Scavernging Ooze x2
Add - Karn, The Great Creator x1 Liquimetal Torque x2
