Basically this is a classic ramp-type draft deck. Once Hour of Devastation came around, this style of deck got way better. There's time in the format to get your lands and mana dorks out, since you're not constantly facing down exert aggro.

The Locust God is in here, along with plenty of ways to draw extra cards. I find that going base Simic helps you get a good balance of early dorks with late threats. That avoids the main downfall of playing ramp, i.e. What if you never draw your threats?
