My original mill deck I've played for a few weeks.

Just 12 mana available seems a little less but with an average spellcost of 2.2 mana this will be enough so far.

Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds will slow you down a litte but the synergy with Hedron Crab is just lovely!

Goal as always for a mill deck is to put the whole libary of your opponent into his graveyard. A few sweeper like Black Sun's Zenith helps agains fast aggro decks. With Psychic Strike and Dimir Charm there are also counter abilities. Fog Bank and Profane Memento also do very well in this setup.

The mill power is just awesome. Just imagine the following situation:

Hand: Terramorphic Expanse Evolving Wilds 2 x Hedron Crab Glimpse the Unthinkable Island Mesmeric orb as for example

Turn 1: Island + Hedron Crab
Turn 2: Hedron Crab + Evolving Wilds -> Swamp (Milling 12 Cards so far)
Turn 3: Terramorphic Exanse -> Island + Glimpse the Unthinkable (Mills additional 22 Cards -> 34 Cards milled so far)
So your opponent (with a starting hand of 7 cards) now lost about 66% of his cards in turn 3. Of course there are combo decks that can kill you in turn 3 but for a mill based deck this is quite very strong.
Then go on as for example:
Turn 4: Thought Scour + another Evolving Wilds + Breaking (Mills additional 22 Cards) and so far the game could be over
