This is a deck that many have seen and tried, however even myself were unable to understand and misplayed consistently.
I heavily recommend any player that wishes to play this deck to watch Paulo's (from CFB) video here: http://www.channelfireball.com/videos/tcgplayer-invitational-finals-analysis-pv-esper-dragons-vs-chris-fennell-rg-devotion/
In it you will be able to understand the lines of play Paulo had each game, but the reasons why they were the correct ones or misplays. He doesn't pull punches on himself, and will explain what thoughts he had that ended in a loss. It is a long video, however even watching his first game will really help you understand this isn't a control deck, as much as it is a Reactive deck that has control elements to use to help you win.
Esper Dragon Control has a lot of reactive cards, and those change in power from tournament to tournament. The Sideboard changes as per the Meta with most staying the same but 3 cards slotted to be able to change. These are:
Mainstay Sideboard (these never change)
2 Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver
2 Dragonlord's Prerogative
3 Drown in Sorrow
2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang
1 DRAGONLORD SILUMGAR
2 Ultimate Price
3 Slots Flex (these change per Meta)
2 Disdainful Stroke
2 Negate
1 Foul-Tongue Invocation
1 Bile Blight
1 Duress
1 Silence the Believers
1 Perilous Vault
1 Grindclock
1 Silumgar, the drifting death
I use the 3 I'm going to be running currently which is a heavy aggro meta (Bile, Negate, and Foul)
