To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The idea here is, ideally, to get out Trinisphere T2 or T1 (rare, but happens). The entire deck is based around extreme land taxing, in the form of Thalia and trinisphere, land denial in teh form of Ajani and Magus of the Moon, and what I'm calling "spell denial" in the form of runed halo, chalice of the void, and rule of law. The rest of the deck is Fragmentize because of stuff, Helix and Charm because of stuff.
Crack the Earth is an interesting card because it is a slightly-weaker version of Smallpox. It's frequently my turn 1 play, where it completely disrupts the opponent's game plan. Or my later game plan, where you are tied in board state, or slightly ahead, and you start using it to deny your opponent stuff. Yes it gives them the choice, but that choice is rarely ever optimal.
This is, in my mind, what would happen if Stax, Death and Taxes, and land destruction got together and threw an Eyes Wide Shut party.
The password, in case you're wondering, is "thrumming"
