The main win con of this deck is the same as most other stompy decks. Land, creature, swing, repeat till the game is over. The best chain would be a turn one Hexdrinker, into a turn two Strangleroot Geist, followed by a turn three Old-Growth Troll, and then an Aspect of Hydra on whatever gets through on turn four. If everything sticks, that's lethal on turn four. The other main concept behind this deck was durability. Almost all the creatures in this deck have some contingency against removal or going up against a bigger creature. Eight cards return from the graveyard by some ability, six have indestructible, and seven have protection of some kind making twenty-one out of the thirty-nine non-land cards able to return to your hand. The reason behind this is even though most games should be over in four to five turns, some games aren't. I designed this deck to minimize the amount of steam that usually gets lost from an aggro deck if the opponent can hold on past five turns. Ghalta, Primal Hunger is a great late-game drop, Toski, Bearer of Secrets allows you to draw cards should anything connect, Fynn, the Fangbearer circumvents lifegain decks, and Predator Ooze can keep swinging in getting bigger and bigger till it's dealt with. The combination of deathtouch with trample allows you to kill your opponent's creature and still hit them with only one point of damage lost, which is one of the reasons why there are three copies of Bow of Nylea in the deck. There are, of course, some drawbacks. Past turn seven the steam will get lost and the game becomes more defensive, Without Toski, Bearer of Secrets there isn't a lot of card draw opportunities, any deck running high amounts of exile can out-maneuver our creatures' survival abilities, token decks can quickly go too wide for us, and burn is always a problem. Most of these issues I try to address in either the main build or the sideboard, but some are just problems that come with running aggro. Blossoming Defense helps defend against target removal or burn, Gaea's Blessing combined with Bow of Nylea counters most mill decks, Khalni Ambush allows you to attempt to deal with other aggro players, Prowling Serpopard attempts to deal with counterspell heave decks, and Setessan Petitioner helps gain life against burn decks or other aggro players who you can out steam. All in all, this deck has changed a lot since 2017 and it functions remarkably well. I am always tinkering with it however, so it tends to have a life of its own.
