[EDH] Marchesa Black Rose - Steal Creatures Version (EDH / Commander)

Marchesa, the Black Rose is a realy cool Grixis commander. She is able to bring back each creature with +1/+1 counter who died under our control.

So, we want to get +1/+1 counter on our creatures and the best way to do that in Grixis is actually using Marchesa's Dethrone. To keep using it we want to have an opponent with more life than us and, to do so, we have to lose life.

PainLands, ShockLands and Talismans are the best mana sources to do so. We can even use Hall of the Bandit Lord to give our creature Haste and Arguel's Blood Fast and Greed to draw cards. We also should always play with Marchesa Unspeakable Symbol and Treasonous Ogre.

Now we need cool creature to sacrifice and a way to sacrifice them.

Butcher Ghoul is just literally immortal with Marchesa in the board, Dusk Legion Zealot could keep draw us cards, Solemn Simulacrum could even ramp us. Creatures with Explore are really close to give us value over time, but the real deal are Toothy, Imaginary Friend and Bloodtracker.

We have a lot of sacrifice outlet in our color, like Bloodflow Connoisseur or Carrion Feeder, but some of the best are still Ashnod's Altar and Viscera Seer.

With all our creature dying this way, we can use Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos to keep the board in check. We can also play some counter spell and some mass and spot removal to help us deal with particular threat.

Keep bringing back our creature, getting value and controlling the board is fun, but we can be just evil and start stealing our opponents' creatures. Considering how Marchesa is worded, we can take control of other creatures, put a +1/+1 counter on them and sacrifice them to keep the control after they come back on the board. To do so, we can use Captivating Crew, Mark of Mutiny, Zealous Conscripts and, of course, Insurrection.

As ultimate winning condition we can count on Chasm Skulker, Flayer of the Hatebound and Bearer of the Heavens, just great with Marchesa.

Marchesa, the Black Rose can leat to a lot of fun games if we can deal with the political part of the game while keep bringing back our (and every) creature with +1/+1 counter. It's not an actual sacrifice commander but it's very easy to gain value from our creature and become hard to deal with for our opponents.

Marchesa, the Black Rose è un commander davvero sfizioso grazie alla capacità di riportare in vita ogni creatura con almeno un segnalino +1/+1 morta sotto il nostro controllo.

Vogliamo quindi mettere segnalini +1/+1 sulle nostre creature e il modo migliore per farlo nei colori Grixis è effettivamente l'abilità Spodestare fornita da Marchesa. Per continuare ad usarla dobbiamo però fare in modo che un nostro avversario abbia più punti vita di noi e, per farlo, dobbiamo perdere punti vita.

Continuare a rianimare le nostre creature, generare vantaggio e controllare il board è divertente, ma possiamo anche semplicemente essere malvagi e iniziare a rubare le creature dei nostri avversari. Considerando come è scritta l'abilità di Marchesa, possiamo prendere il controllo delle altre creature, metterci su segnalini +1/+1 e sacrificarle per mantenerne il controllo una volta tornate sul campo di battaglia. Per farlo, possiamo usare Captivating Crew, Mark of Mutiny, Zealous Conscripts e, ovviamente, Insurrection.

Come soluzione definitiva possiamo contare su Chasm Skulker, Flayer of the Hatebound e Bearer of the Heavens, semplicemente meravigliosi con Marchesa.

Marchesa, the Black Rose può regalarci un sacco di partite divertenti finché saremo in grado di gestire l'aspetto politico del gioco mentre continuiamo a rianimare le nostre (o tutte) le creature con segnalini +1/+1. Non è un commander che punta tutto sul sacrificio ma è molto facile ottenere vantaggi dalle nostre creature e diventare una minaccia difficile da gestire per i nostri avversari.
