Grothama, All-Devouring is a huge legendary wurm from Battlebond that offer enormous body presence for a relative small cost because of its drawback... that we can actually exploit in our Commander deck!

Grothama give to all other creatures the ability to fight with it when are declared attacking and when Grothama leaves the battlefield, each player has to draw a card of each damage dealt to it. Not only Combat Damage, not when Grothama dies, but every kind of damage and when leaves the battlefield!

The best way we have to use this unique ability is tu create an army ready to fight with Grothama and keep our board full each turn. Some of the best green cards to create tokens are definitely Sprout Swarm and Beacon of Creation but, considering what Grothama is and what it allows us to do, Broodhatch Nantuko, Fresh Meat and Fungal Sprouting are just must include.

But we don't need (and usually don't want) Grothama to die, we want to blink or bounce it instead. In our option we have Conjurer's Closet and Temur Sabertooth, card that gives us a great and reusable effect that can sinergize with other our cards like Eternal Witness, Acidic Slime or Stuffy Doll.

Stuffy Doll is just great with Grothama becouse we can choose an opponent, attack with Stuffy Doll, make it fight Grothama and shoot 10 or more damage in his or her face! When we need, we can just bounce or blink Stuffy Doll and change our target to keep our beating going.

To protect our army of token and Grothama itself from our opponents, we can run Asceticism, Eldrazi Monument and even Soul of New Phyrexia while we got a lot of way to use our big army to win the game: Craterhoof Behemoth, Dragon Throne of Tarkir and Triumph of the Hordes are just some of our options while Rancor can easly turn our Commander itself in a two hit kill machine.

To support our commander damage secondary out we can run Rhonas the Indomitable and Nylea, God of the Hunt. We can have even another way out based on the fact that, if everything goes as planed, we are going to draw a lot of cards. Beside our army token, we have Garruk, Primal Hunter, Greater Good and Rishkar's Expertise to draw 10 or more cards and, with Psychosis Crawler on the battlefield, they turns in ten or more damages on all our opponents... without mentioning Alhammarret's Archive!

Grothama, All-Devouring is not just big, it can lead to a good bunch of funny situations and win conditions and that's a good reason to play and have fun with a commander deck! If you like monocolor deck and like big stuff, this might be the deck for you!
