Mastermind's Approach (Standard)

I built this deck around the new card in Rivals of Ixalan, Mastermind's Acquisition. The deck plays as a midrange control deck and plans to win with its creatures or Approach of the Second Sun. It packs a lot of removal and counter magic in the main deck and uses the sideboard as a toolbox of answers designed for specific matchups; energy hate being at the forefront with 3 solemnities (and the original reason for adding white).

Early on the deck was only splashing white for Solemnity and didn't play Approach or Fumigate, and because of this wasn't playing Search for Azcanta either. Instead it was more creature heavy with Dreamstealers and Hostage Takers, and it's possible the deck might perform better if you go that direction instead. I settled on Approach because being able to tutor for it is powerful in its own right, and Search for Azcanta just seems like it deserves a spot in a toolbox style deck like this.

The deck is still very much a work in progress so things are liable to change in the future, but I think this is a decent shell for what it's trying to do. I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions on how to make the deck better. I plan on piloting this deck in Standard and really want to make it as competitive as possible.
