To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The base mechanic of the deck are +1/+1 counters, with Hardened Scales being the central card of the deck; but not enterely necessary to win.
Abzan Kin-Guard is the Woodland Wanderer of BFZ: Converge, enter with +1/+1 equal to the colors of mana, Vigilance, Trample. I'm not that sure about this card, but the vigilance, and the posibility of being 3 counters (because of Honored Hierarch) make the card something pretty awsome).
Boon Satyr is Undergrowth Champion of BFZ: 2/2 with landfall that applies +1/+1 counter. This is a no brainer in the deck.
Horizon Canopy is the new GW land of BFZ Canopy Vista (enter the battefield tapped unless you control two basic lands).
Mechanics:
The deck machanics are clear. Hardened scales makes your counters multiply, being nearly all your cards generating benefits froms this. The idea is to have huge creatures for low cost, and sometimes (as with hangarback walker and hooded hydra) those counters can be something else as well!.
Pretty common gameplay:
T1: land, Honored hierarch
T2: tapped land, hardened scales, attack (honored hierarch is a 3/3 with vigilance!)
Another:
T1: Hardened Scales
T2: Hangarback (enters with 2 +1/+1 counter)
antoher:
T1: Noble hierarch
T2: Hangarback (1 +1/+1)
T3: Avatar (2 +1/+1) and you have one mana left for the hangarback to grow.
You can test the deck a lot and see the different iteration you have with it. The deck don't necessarely need the Hardened Scales to win, usually nearly all the cards are treathening to the opponent. Managorger Hydra, Avatar of the Resolute and Hangarback Walker are usually cards that win by themselves; with Inspiring Call you make them survive and draw more cards. I find this deck consistent, but i have to accept that we don't know what's comming.
"Brace yourselves, Eldrazis are comming."
I gladdy accept all your comments.
