This deck involves you stringing together a contiguous chain of events that allows you to slowly grow and eventually roll over your opponent (like building a giant "Snowball").

WARNING: THIS DECK IS EXTREMELY POWERFUL, BUT BORING TO PLAY AGAINST. DO NOT PLAY THIS AGAINST YOUR FRIENDS UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO HATE YOU.

Example Good Starting Hand:
2x Birds of Paradise
2x Vivid Grove
1x Jeskai Ascendancy
2x Gitaxian Probe

At this point you will stay in your main phase on turn #2 the rest of the game until you are ready to kill your opponent. It doesn't really matter what you draw, so long as you don't get too many land+creature cards in a row. The idea is to cast mostly 1 mana spells, occasionally a 0 mana spell (banking the mana you save for that), and occasionally casting a 2 mana spell (using your banked mana or 2nd creature as described below).

REST OF EXAMPLE STEPS CONTINUING THE MAIN PHASE FROM TURN #2:

Use the Scry abilities on cards to place any land and/or creature cards on the bottom of your library. If your opponent got a creature out on the board already, use Glittering Wish to grab a removal card from your sideboard and get rid of the creature(s). If you keep the snowball effect (of drawing and casting, drawing and casting) going long enough, you win.

Win By:

  • Getting your 1 creature up to 20 power and attacking for a lethal blow.
  • Getting your 2 creatures up to 10 power and attacking with both for a lethal blow.
  • Getting your 2 creatures up to 7 power, attacking for 14 combat damage, then finishing off your opponent with Grapeshot (note the Storm effect).
  • Getting your 1 creature up to 10 power and attacking with it + Grapeshot for a lethal blow.

Sidenotes:

  • There are a total of 7 ways to get the Jeskai Ascendancy card that makes this deck work. If you don't draw one of the 3 cards in the deck directly, you can use one of the 4 Glittering Wish to grab it from your sideboard.
  • Winning on turn #2 is a bit more luck based, a more consistent option would be to play a 2nd mana creature on turn #2, and bring out Jeskai Ascendancy on turn #3. That way you aren't reliant on having 0 mana cost cards available.
