To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The general idea of the deck is to get out something like Necropotence or cast something like Necrologia in order to draw a ton of cards. Then, hopefully, you'll have no maximum hand size from Thought Vessel, Venser's Journal, or Reliquary Tower and can cast Skirge Familiar. From there you will generally have enough free mana available to go in for the win with Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, Sickening Dreams, or Pestilence. It's generally easier to win if I can get my life total super low and am able to cast Repay in Kind. From there I either try to reset my life total, or gain some amount of life; that is if I can't just outright finish everyone off somehow while casting a well timed Stunning Reversal to save myself. There's a few ways to gain life back since you'll be losing a lot of it. Venser's Journal is a very valueable piece for this deck because it does one of the key things we need, no maximum hand size, and it pulls double duty by supplying us with life on each of our turns equal to the number of cards in our hand, which is usually quite a few. The rest are the standard things like Gray Merchant, Crypt Ghast, Exsanguinate, etc. However, I think Eternity Vessel does just enough to maintain it's place in this deck for now, but I would consider replacing it for a similiar effect some day. There are also a few just for fun cards that could possibly be replaced with more parts for the main deck goal, but I like to try to keep fun stuff in.
This deck leans heavily on the idea of paying life for cards, with the main wincon being dependant on having a large hand, or alternativly with a mix of Bolas's Citadel and Necropotence. If you have a Sensei's Divining Top you can slot out something for added top deck manipulation.
Urborg/Coffers combo is a planned upgrade and highly suggested since this deck is mana hungry.
