Keep your opponent locked out by killing early creatures with lightning bolt or pyrite spellbomb, rapidly throwing away their hand with duress, blightning and hymn to tourach and destroying their lands with molten rain. If they manage to get large creatures onto the field terminate is incredibly effective, although by that point you can probably just burn them down with any remaining bolts, bombs, blightnings and fireblast. Finally if you are running low on cards you have sign in blood, the cycle lands and the card draw abilities on the spellbombs at your disposal.
While this deck could be more powerful in modern with cards like rakdos's return, despise, inquisition of kozilek and thoughtsieze etc it loses out on cards like hymn and fireblast while being completely shut down by a leyline of sanctity.
