To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Commander: Mizzix of the Izmagnus
I made some major adjustments with regards to the deck's play style as well as the amount of mana ramp the deck has.
Mizzix has to be in play when your are combo-ing off or in the early game whereby you cast cheaper instant or sorcery spells. This may be a problem most of the time because opponents would be wary about how many experience counters you are gaining from Mizzix and would often remove her from the battlefield once the experience count gets too high or maybe even during the early game.
Hence, in order for it to be easier to cast her from the command zone, i have increased the amount of mana rocks in the deck to 12. This means that Mizzix can be casted more easily even when her mana cost shoots up from 2UR to 6UR.
Before the major changes, it was very hard and almost impossible to win without Mizzix and her experience counters. But now because of the increased amount of mana rocks in the deck, even in games where she gets sent back to the command zone twice as frequently, you would still be able to combo-off due to the large amount of mana you have at your disposal, courtesy of the mana rocks. However, this is not to say that Mizzix is an alternative win con. More often than not, you would want Mizzix out as frequently as possible to gain value out of her ability, which ultimately leads you to victory during the late game.
Playing a Mizzix deck still requires a small amount of creatures to be in the deck so that you can interact with the board state during the game. For example, copying someone's big creature using a Phyrexian Metamorph would serve as protection and defence and opponents would not be able to attack you directly. This helps you live longer and prepare for the turn whereby you combo-off.
Feel free to leave any suggestions or comments on the deck :p
