This Ramos, Dragon Engine deck is designed to cast as many multicolored spells as quickly as possible with the help of Sunforger. Sunforger package includes spells that tutor for sunforger and effects that can equip it at instant or for reduced cost, enabling multiple spells to be cast through sunforger earlier in the game. In addition to Sunforger, a more versatile equipment package is included so that our sunforger package isn't useless once sunforger in use or exiled. These equipment are chosen so that their casting will still give Ramos counters, and for protecting our Sunforger thrower or Balan, Wandering Knight if she decides to go voltron. Champion's Helm and Whispersilk Cloak were chosen in lieu of Boots and Greaves because both of these are tutorable by Trophy Mage, and haste isn't very important in this deck.
A cascade subtheme would make normal counterspells useless, so every counterspell in this deck is both A) tutorable with Sunforger, and B) Part of a modal spell that can be cast for a different effect should it be cascaded into with nothing to counter.
Also present is a +1/+1 counter subtheme, with only the bare minimum to run effectively. Cathars' Crusade is a must have, and Noosegraf Mob combos nicely with it. Forgotten Ancient and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan can both pass on extra counters to Ramos, with Corpsejack Menace and Vorel of the Hull Clade rounding out the package with multicolored doubling effects.
Non-modal Sunforger spells include tutoring effects such as Eladamri's Call and Enlightened Tutor, to make sunforger run more smoothly should we play it before anything else in its package. Also included is Tithe, which should be used to tutor for Mistveil Plains, which can allow for repeated casting of Sunforger spells every turn. For removal, Aura Mutation and Artifact Mutation are chosen for being multicolored as well as creating tokens. With Cathar's Crusade on the field, these can easily give Ramos the five counters needed to generate mana even on opponents' turns. Anguished Unmaking acts as a silver bullet for searchable planeswalker removal.
Further accelerating all of these subthemes is a final subtheme involving copying effects. Creatures like Altered Ego can copy Ramos once it's used it's ability for the turn, potentially entering with enough counters already to use it's ability right away, allowing for a possible net gain of mana or even recasting the original Ramos from the command zone. In addition to copies, several flicker effects can reset Ramos or protect him from harm, and the flicker effects that aren't repeatable are at least tutorable with Sunforger.
Copy Artifact and Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast can make additional copies of Sunforger because who wouldn't want multiple copies equipped and ready to go at all times? Melek, Izzet Paragon and Swarm Intelligence will make Sunforger doubly effective for no extra cost being their initial casting. Isochron Scepter imprinting a modal spell can provide repeatable answers to multiple problems, and Paradox engine means that spell is repeatable as long as you have the mana, which with Ramos shouldn't be hard.
Ramp, fixing and card draw take a back seat in this deck. Sunforger and cascade effects are going to be where the decks gets its card advantage. Ramos provides plenty of ramping and fixing, and doesn't need access to any colors to be cast, but a small suite of nonland ramp and fixing is included so that combos with Paradox Engine are possible.
