Your creatures start small but grow huge via Evolve, Graft, and other means.
Due to its complexity and the sheer number of counters, this is not a deck for beginners. There are minimal non-creature spells because otherwise Evolve and Graft would not trigger as often.
Hardened Scales: The absolute best card in the deck for evolving quickly. It's also responsible for much of the complexity. Multiple Hardened Scales stack but do not loop. Gatherer Ruling 9/20/2014. "'Placed on a creature you control' includes that creature entering the battlefield with +1/+1 counters on it. If a creature would enter the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it while you control Hardened Scales, it enters with that many counters plus one." Gatherer Ruling 9/20/2014. Consequently, Hardened Scales works with Avatar of the Resolute, Cytoplast Manipulator, Kalonian Hydra, and Master Biomancer. Master Biomancer, Renegade Krasis, and Zameck Guildmages first ability triggers Hardened Scales a second time. Hardened Scales effectively doubles Graft counters.
Wall of Roots: This card is preferable over other ramping creatures because its high toughness makes it more likely to trigger evolve. Putting counters on Wall of Roots lets it stick around longer, although this is rarely necessary.
Renegade Krasis: Take in Give // Take and Zameck Guildmage's second ability work great with Renegade Krasis. Lower the number of counters on him just enough so that he can evolve again and he gives everything extra counters again.
Master Biomancer: Give in Give // Take and Graft works great with Master Biomancer because the greater his power the more counters other creatures will enter the battle field with.
Avatar of the Resolute: He does not count the number of counters themselves. He only counts the number of CREATURES with counters on them. So his ability is not as impressive as it otherwise would be but he's still darn good.
Cytoplast Manipulator: The counter does not need to come from Cytoplast Manipulator herself for her ability to work. It can come from Give in Give // Take, Graft from other permanents, or literally anywhere else. (Note: Graft and Give work on opponents creatures too - not just your own.)
Zameck Guildmage: You can use both of his abilities multiple times. You can use his first ability just enough to cause a new creature to trigger evolve if they otherwise wouldn't.
