To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
A Commander deck that went through several iterations, from token swarm to land destruction to Insect tribal. Currently trying to refine it into my first serious Jund stax/sacrifice build.
Why Xira Arien?
Why not? Few people have heard of her, and she's not immediately threatening in the same way other Jund legendaries are. She's also a flier who can draw cards (for a price, but still) and can be regenerated by Swarmyard. And who better to lead the forces of entropy and destruction than an elegant insect in evening dress?
What are the win conditions?
As a stax deck, the goal is to drop the likes of Braids, Tangle Wire, Smokestack, etc. and hope to survive the onslaught when the table gangs up on you. The token producers are there to provide a constant stream of sacrifice bait. Causing ragequits is a legitimate goal, the only infinite combo here is the unlikely Blood Artist + Krark-Clan Ironworks + Flayer Husk + Salvaging Station setup.
Cards under consideration?
Signets, Keyrunes, and other extra mana rocks: Still playtesting this, might have to drop lands if that happens.
Goblin Welder: a hilarious card that can recur my artifacts or mess with other players.
Garruk Relentless: token producer.
Garruk, Primal Hunter: see above. Not sure if his CMC is worth it though.
Squee, Goblin Nabob: self-recurring creature.
Nether Traitor: see above.
Leyline of the Void: really powerful against the graveyard-themed decks running rampant in Commander.
