Once more unto the breach of failure. Having played this a little more, I'm a bit more confident on why Red seems so mediocre. It really feels you want a decent start in a format where being assertive is important, but having synthesizers doesn't really let you do that, whereas very little here stayed relevant into late game. A 4/4 or 4/5 stopped pretty much everything I have. Besides that the deck lacked defence against flyers. Plan was to use Synthesizers and Companions for card advantage while leveraging farewell and even though that never came off, Farewell never really looked that good to me anyway. Felt like games were lost as soon as opponent casted a reasonable 2 for 1. Admittedly never got on the offensive, but I'm not convinced that that isn't a fundamental characteristic of the deck rather than luck on my part.
