Assuming usual trends, I suspect to be facing off against a lot of Chainwhirlers over the next few months. The Pro Tour just caused a big spike in the number of red or red/black aggro decks we all will be seeing. Funny part is that there are other decks that are competitive nad the meta could still flip, but standard players tend to be sold on the Pro Tour results and do not even consider factors that lead to those results. Anyways, gonna be a lot of Chainwhirlers.
I think Constrictor Energy is a decent list to battle the current meta. I've made a few adjustments from the majority of the lists out there.
Out:
1) Walking Ballista.
*The card is still fantastic, however I believe that in a world of Chainwhirler's the work is done for us. Ballista is no longer needed to remove 1 toughness creatures because players are removing them from deck lists entirely due to our Goblin buddy. We don't even play the Goblin and it lets us cut a formerly vital and expensive card.
2) Glint-Sleeve Siphoner. (sideboard)
*in a world of Chainwhirler our buddy Siphoner is moved to the sideboard. He will come in often, but cannot be main board right now.
In:
1) Longtusk Cub.
*not a shocker considering its former status, however even most energy decks choose Siphoner.
2) Llanowar Elves.
*Even though it has no synergy, it is sweet to get where your going a turn faster. It dies to Chainwhirler, but by turn 3 the elves should have already done work.
