I have a Boros build that is very similar to this, except it plays Goblin Chainwhirler. I thought what if I took out the Chainwhirler and added Benalish Marshal. How would it change the deck? Well, the deck stayed basically the same in structure, but a few cards changed in power level and a elements of gameplay changed as well. Here is my analysis:

Advantages of Benalish Marshal:

a) History of Benalia.
the tokens get +1/+1 bigger, giving you the potential for 6 power for 3cmc.
Benalish Marshall is a Knight so it gets the pump from a third lore counter.

b) The two drops
get a bonus a nice bonus to get in some extra damage early.
Knight of Grace gets to 4 potential power, and can now use first strike to win combat with even bigger creatures (Golgari Findbroker comes to mind).

c) Midrange flyers
it puts Aurelia and Lyra even further out of range of red removal.
Lyra can now win in combat against Doom Whisperer.
*Rekindling Phoenix is even more threatening and must be answered (but that is not much of a change really as it is always a must answer).

d) The mana base gets a little smoother playing a WWW creature alongside History of Benalia. But you still are playing Rekindling Phoenix, so it's not that good of a break.

Negatives:

a) Chainwhirler's first strike
*Chainwhirler can survive combat far more often in this meta as many of the cards that would block it only have 3 or less toughness.

b) The loss of removal
*You don't always run into 1cmc creatures (in a format overrun with explore creatures), but when you do it is such amazing value. Any game with LLanowar Elves or Pelt Collector just feels like blowout scoop em up time on turn three.

c) The element of surprise
*people do not see a Chainwhirler coming in a deck that plays mono white creatures on turn two. They just don't. I had a game the other day where I played Remorseful Cleric on turn 2, the opponent in turn played two Pelt Collectors thinking they were going to value town on turn 3. Oops, Chainwhirler. That game was over right there.

d) Chainwhirler against tokens
*they play a ton of anthem effects to get them over Chainwhirler, but the anthem effects come on bodies that you can remove (most of the time) so Chainwhirler is even better late game against these decks then it is on turn three.

Conclusion:

I believe there is enough upside to Benalish Marshall to at least give it some thought. There are a significant number of cards that get far better with its addition. My thinking just keeps coming back to how big the blowouts are against decks that play 1 toughness creatures. It just ends games on the spot. If I wipe out everything an opponent has done, or if I kill their mana dork, often they cannot recover in time. It is basically free removal. Chainwhirler into any of this decks 4cmc creatures is a great turn sequence, even if Chainwhirler doesn't kill a creature.
