I have been looking again at cards that can be abused from Ravnica Allegiance for Bo1. A card that stands out is Hero of Precinct One. Going wide is hard to deal with in best of one games. Nobody can commit enough answers to it in a main deck, even one modified for Bo1. in the right deck Hero can run wild.

Why Boros?
*I want to keep it simple first. Boros has Heroic Reinforcements. I figure that is a good starting point. Boros also offers a ton of inexpensive aggro cards from Guilds of Ravnica that can make this strategy work.

The decks core:

a) Hero of Precinct One
a couple of free creatures by the mid game may be enough to overwhelm an opponent.
I would like to play around 24 cards that are multicolored to consistently get value from Hero. I feel less would make the card too inconsistent, while jamming all multicolored cards in the deck would mean playing lesser powered cards just for the sake of running multicolored.

b) Heroic Reinforcements
This is the blow out card to end games out of nowhere. It swings for 4 on its own.
Triggering Hero, into a full swing is a big play.

Other multicolored spells:

c) Tajic, Legion's Edge
haste + mentor is the number use of Tajic. Helps buff our army and adds to the surprise attack element of the deck.
some nice protection against red direct damage.
*first strike is a nice combat trick that many opponents forget about.

d) Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice
the pump on entry is a bonus pump ability without having to use up slots on it.
flying on a difficult to remove creature helps finish games that have stalled a few damage short.

e) Integrity // Intervention
the pump is minimal, but it is valuable. A 1cmc multicolored card is something the deck needs, and this trick gets you upside.
The versatility of Intervention is a finisher, path clearer, and helps you battle against other aggro decks.

f) Footlight Fiend
*another 1cmc multicolored card that is not bad on its own merit. There are far better options at 1cmc, but not that are multicolored.

g) Swiftblade Vindicator
*I'm tentative on SV because it needs help to be any good. The upside is that the deck plays a ton of cards that help it become much better.

h) Boros Challenger
Is the best of a weak lot. I'm not saying it is a bad card, I just think it is too weak to play if you are trying to be competitive.
Mentor trigger is a strong bonus, it has a useful mana sink for the late game, and 3 toughness does save it from some early combat and out of the range of Shock.

i) Response // Resurgence
I have played it in the best to varying success. Response can kill most of the major targets in the format.
Resurgence is a very nice trick on paper to finish games, however i do not recall a single time I ever played Resurgence in a game. Either it felt like overkill or was useless. In this deck it may actually provide more punch as a double swing going wide is likely to finish off a game.

j) Justice Strike
*a nice one of piece of removal.

Cards that are not multicolored:
*There are just some cards that are so much better than a multicolored option that it makes no sense to try to force them.

h) Legion Warboss
*just a major upgrade for the deck over any 3cmc creature that boros has to offer.

i) Haazda Marshall
there are probably a half dozen 1cmc creatures that could fill this slot. I would try Marshall first since it works so well with Heroic Reinforcements.
The only worry about Marshall is that it gets brick walled pretty easy if the opponent also is playing small creatures. Pretty crappy stats if it does not get some help from pump or a mentor trigger.

Final Conclusions:

*The deck has some major possible draws, but also plays a lot of cards that are weak on their own.

*The deck is lacking any card draw. If a game stalls out you are very likely to be on the short end of things once you start topdecking.

*You really need to curve out well and hit a Heroic Reinforcements at he right time to win.

*This deck could really benefit from playing a third color as a splash.
