This is a deck I'm planning on bringing for a test run on Arena bo1 this weekend. In this new standard environment there are a few cards I wanted to take for a test run that were powerful in the past, but that Oko rendered useless. Also, I have always found that building decks that play a high number of flyers is always potent and underrated.

Deck Strategy:

1) Play flyers as our wincon. Flying over adventure creatures, green bodies, and little red dudes is a pretty safe way to get damage through right now. As a bonus Kraul Harpooner won't be everywhere as a response to Gilded Goose.

2) All flyers must have an alternate purpose. It's nice to be a flyer, but all my choices provide some sort of tempo or card advantage also. (Exception in Spawn of Mayhem, just a powerhouse)

3) Play support cards that take advantage of flyers.

4) Support cards that disrupt the most common threats we will face.

The Deck:

Flyers

1) Thief of Sanity
This is the main card we are testing out. Massive card advantage engine on a flyer.
Fear is that the format is so low to the ground that Shock will be its undoing.

2) Rankle, Master of Pranks
so powerful that the decks top end has haste.
great toolbox card in many situations. Discard is the main function (discard those Embercleave's)

3) Skarrgan Hellkite
*the main way we finish games.

4) Spawn of Mayhem
*Another big body that can close out games if unchecked.

5) Brazen Borrower
Great disruption against other fast strategies.
not being able to block consistently is a worry and also dies to Shock.

6) Order of Midnight
*The best 2cmc flyer available since it has great use late game as well.

7) Fae of Wishes
Included because of its 4 toughness for blocking (funny eh). Great wall versus aggro.
Granted can come into play in dragged out games, works well with Order of Midnight.

Flying Support Cards

1) Winged Words
*Drawing two cards for 2cmc in a tempo deck is an exceptional rate (ask Chart a Course).

2) Flame Sweep
cleans up a pretty decent portion of the format, and at instant speed on top of that.
doesn't kill any of our creatures.

Support Cards

1) Thought Erasure
Our real turn 2 play. It still catches so much of the formats threats.
Makes our weak 2cmc flyers better as they can be held back for their more useful purpose.

2) Tyrant's Scorn
Flat out kills most of the adventure creatures, black sac creatures, and red aggro threats. Also kills mana dorks.
Sometimes just bouncing a 4/5cmc threat is enough tempo to finish off a game.

3) Murderous Rider
I wanted consistent planeswalker/creature removal.
Extra body, even if it doesn't fly
lifelink is very big as the deck does not gain life in the main board.
The fact that it goes back in the deck is relevant as Fabled Passage can shuffle it back towards the top.

The Mana Base

1) Was my key worry about the deck. There are some slow pieces, but overall cards can be consistently cast.

2) Turn 1 tapped land every game. No turn 1 plays.

Sideboard (for Granted)

I believe the sideboard choices are pretty self-explanatory. These will adjust slightly as I play more games in the format.

The Mountain is there because I wanted to include a land that enters untapped and Skarrgan Hellkite would be the highest potential for a reason to take a land.
