So... the deck draws a lot of cards. When the deck is not drawing cards it is getting them back from my graveyard. We see a lot of cards is what I'm saying. Card advantage is so big and this deck will always have a hand full of juice. One of the best things about the deck is that you do not have to hold back on playing your removal for fear of a bigger threat, with all the card draw and repeating graveyard play, you will see more removal soon enough.

(So after revisions the deck does not draw as many cards lol. The deck does however have more consistent synergy. Torrential Gearhulk finds solid targets more often, Dig gets us what we need more regularly, and our wincons are stronger. Also, we can deal with planeswalkers and larger creatures far better.)

And here is the breakdown of the deck.

Pure Card draw:
1) Baby Jace- not going to say too much, except that he fuels the entire deck. I feel like I can pitch any card that is not convenient at the moment and it is no big deal because I can go get it later. Delirium enabler superstar.
2) Glimmer of Genius- great card draw. It's not as good as Dig Through Time, but Dig exiles my graveyard and I want full access to my graveyard and have it be as full of juice as possible. So Glimmer lets me mini Dig, which I will take.
3) Sultai Charm- draws two and lets me stash one in the grave yard for later. Great for enabling Delirium as well.
4) Ob Nixilis- tick him up, draw cards, must be answered before the ultimate goes off.

Pseudo Card Draw:
1) Season's Past- here is the reload button. All the cards that have been dumped into the grave or have just been flat destroyed come back, well one each each cc at least.
2) Rashmi- as long as you have cards to play, Rashmi will keep them coming. She even has the added bonus of letting you let them rip, without having to pay casting costs, from time to time. So busted and must be killed immediately.
3) Tireless Tracker- clue generator extraordinaire. Fetchlands are his friend. With all the cards we will be drawing having lands at the ready will never be an issue.
4) The Gitrog Monster- ok so we have to sac lands. No problem. We always have lots of them and now we can play two a turn and draw a card each time.
5) Liliana- Not her primary objective, however she can get creatures back. Torrential Gearhulk is nice.
6) Torrential Gearhulk- not card draw as much as playing a card for free. On a big stick.
7) Traverse the Ulvenwald- there will be a point when delirium is turned on and then this is an all-star. Until that point we can just play this to get our land, then get it back later.
8) Flipped Jace- casting instants and sorcery spells out of the graveyard.

Removal:
1) Fatal Push- so good with fetchlands, just so good.
2) Disallow- I want more. I may have to make room for more. But what to cut? Playtesting may reveal an obvious choice.
3) Revolutionary Rebuff- solid early game answer.
4) Sultai Charm- versatility. Kills a ton of important creature as well as any artifacts and enchantments that there are.
5) Ob Nixilis- not his primary objective, but kills em dead.

Pseudo Removal/ stall:
1) Hangerback Walker- gets to block two turns early in the game, provides two cards types in the graveyard for delirium, and counts as 0cc for Season's Past.
2) Liliana- great against aggro and slows down midrange just enough for us to stabilize.
3) Ishkanah- so many tokens.
4) Torrential Gearhulk- there will always be removal in the grave if needed or some card draw to dig for it.
5) Flipped Jace- can slow a creature down.

For all your additional removal needs look in the sideboard

Lifegain: (we play fetches, Ob Nixilis, and are slow to get going. Life gain needed)
1) Kalitas- his lifelink and 4 toughness is so important against aggro. And he is a beast against Rally.
2) Pulse of Murasa-(Sideboard) turn 2 creature to chump block, turn three this getting our creature back and gaining 6. Aggro threat averted.

Synergies:
1) Fatal Push- fetchlands, Gitrog Monster, Tireless Tracker (clue tokens)
2) Season's Past- Baby Jace, Sultai Charm
other even more obvious

Win cons:
1) Torrential Gearhulk- big body to flash in.
2) Ishkanah- her and her army can go a long way.
3) Gitrog Monster- he is one big, ugly dude.
4) Kalitas- he can get pretty big and provide his own token army.
5) Man Lands- Against other slower decks these can get there.
6) Ob Nix and Liliana- ultimates happen with these two in grindy games where you establish a stalled board or board control.
7) Tracker/Hangarback- if they are left unchecked they can get pretty big. With help from another source they can get there.
8) Season's Past- while not a traditional win con, when you play this and catch a full mitt of cards you see a lot of scoops.

Sideboard: (sideboard cards have many purposes, here I list the main reason for each)
1) Dispel- control decks and Collected Company
2) Duress- control decks and planeswalkers
3) Flaying Tendrils- Rally and Atarka Red (other all-in aggro)
4) Languish- Creature based decks
5) Negate- any noncreature deck.
6) Pulse of Murasa- aggro decks
7) Silumgar- wincon vs control and midrange decks
8) To the Slaughter - planeswalkers and Emrakul
9) Tormod's Crypt- Rally and Baby Jace/ Dig Through Time
10) Vengeful Rebel- any deck with small creatures

Revisions:
1) Out- Season's Past x2 is not the right card for this deck. In playtesting, at the point where I would play a Season's Past I usually wanted to be playing something else. I found either I needed that big equalizing card that would even things up or a wincon to take control of the game.
In- Dig Through Time x2. I think I always knew that Dig was the best play here but I just wanted to try to push Season's Past. I was also looking at it as I wanted to keep cards in the graveyard for synergy plays, however Torrential Gearhulk into a Dig is living the Frontier dream. Season's Past not being instant speed really worked against synergy in the deck and the fact it goes into the deck after play meant it was a non-targetable card for the graveyard anyway.

2) Out- Rashmi x2. It was a fun card to play with. The few times you got a chance to use it and it went off were super fun. It would be fantastic in EDH or cube maybe. It never felt like the card I wanted at any point. A 4cc card should be powerful enough to turn the game when it hits and this one is very slow in a fast format.
In- Tasigur x1. A much better creature, usually at a lower cost. Still has built in card draw.
In- Dragonlord Silumgar x1. Slower yes, but so impactful. Complete game changer. For any deck that this Silumgar is not the answer then just side it out for faster removal.

3) Out- The Gitrog Monster. Slow. Most games you need your 5cc card to immediately impact the board. The Monster is easily removed and just does not do enough right away. Synergies with Tireless Tracker are cool, but not worth the inclusion.
In- Silumgar's Command. Not where I thought I would be going at all. I've struggled with planeswalkers. I'm not aggro to run them over and I'm not pure control to counter them (mainboard at least), so this is the best option as a one of. I looked at Ruinous Path but it cannot be targeted with Torrential Gearhulk and that is the key. The command is just an amazing option late game as it deals with PW's, major noncreature spells, and can do double creature removal. Then within the next few turns play it again with Gearhulk or a flipped Jace.

4) Out- Traverse the Ulvenwald. Just need more answers for planeswalkers creature threats.
Out- Revolutionary Rebuff. May actually be the better fit, however there are the deck is not built for holding back on counters.
In- Ruinous Path x2. Supplies early game removal of PW's and of creatures without restrictions. Adds a sorcery to the deck for Delirium. Playing for its awaken cost gives so late game bonus big body. While it cannot be cast with Gearhulk, it can be cast with flipped baby Jace.

5) Out- Tireless Tracker. Good card put not the best fit.
In- Grasp of Darkness. Just solid 2cc removal.
