I play generally the same deck-list, but I'm trying out Wee Dragonauts which is a pretty ridiculous flying wizard. I might need to put some serious thought into this though. As he states in the video, you want to curve: Wizard, Wizard, Adeliz and then you can start playing your cantrips. This is important for the overall speed of the deck, and this is modern. I don't know if I can justify planning on waiting an extra turn for Dragonauts.
I don't like Thunderous Wrath, and I think that takes some of the value out of Sage of Epityr as well, although I admit, I still kind of like the card anyway.
I'm tossing around the idea of replacing Shock with Slip Through Space to go more combat centric and navigate the deck a little better? If not, Lava spike is another more consistent alternative to Thunderous Wrath. 8x Lightning bolts will forever stay and are likely enough anyway.
I also think Thud is a very interesting card.
While Grim Lavamancer might seem like a super card in this deck, I'm not so sure. She helps a lot in the late game, but she's always a 1/1 (half of Ghitu Lavarunner) that doesn't buff herself. She isn't aggressive at all and her ability doesn't even trigger prowess.
