[PDH] Jalira, Master Polymorphist (EDH / Commander)

This deck is me wanting to pay homage to a member of the earliest group of PDH legendary creatures. After the old guard of the legends from Legends/Homelands/Kamigawa, there were a total of 7 legendary creatures that got downshifted from rare.

Hikari and Kongming are both worthless and I'm not a fan of Iwamori of the Open Fist or Stangg (although he's a real OG). That leaves Jalira, Bladewing the Risen, and Rosheen Meanderer. Bladewing I feel hasn't been playable until just recently, but now that he is I'm totally making a Bladewing deck. Looking at it, I'll throw together one for Rosheen as well just so that I have the first really playable trio of legendary creatures in PDH with decks to respect their legacies.

(Edit: Right... Rosheen is bad... Not because of her own ability, but just because there aren't enough good common Gruul X cost spells worth making a deck around. Just make Svella, Ice Shaper, like I did, you'll get the same feeling but end up with a much more fun/playable deck.)

Anyway, talking about the actual deck, Jalira wants to sacrifice weak/disposable creatures at instant speed to get more useful ones for cheap. The best way I've found to do this is to create creature tokens using non-creature spells so that Jalira will only hit bombs.

However, there aren't enough truly "bomb" creatures in mono-blue in PDH, so I added some cheap card draw creatures with evasion that are good to sacrifice and at least cantrip if hit with Jalira.

There's a little untap because hitting 6-8 mana isn't difficult and it can help mitigate feel-bads by sac'ing a cantrip creature or even go for a double by trying to hit 2 big creatures! I think this will be mid-level, but fun. If only she had another colour... alas...
